How to Get to the Vendée
The Vendée is a very popular holiday destination with travellers from the UK and Ireland due to its convenient location on the west coast of France.
The area is served by two main airports - at La Rochelle and Nantes, both within an hour of most areas of the Vendée. Here you can book with may of the budget airlines, and then rent a car at the airport. Direct flights are available from East Midlands, Stansted, Southampton, Edinburgh, Leeds and Cork.
The Northern ferry ports of France start from only 3 hours drive away from the Vendée - with much of the route on good quality motorways and dual carriageways.
